Once we have the configuration in the database (see configdb), we should be able to build a program for manipulating that database. Also, it would be nice to have programs running on a machine that runs DBMail which would be able to stop and start DBMail daemons.

The program running on the nodes can be a daemon exporting some kind of RPC (XMLRPC/SOAP) interface, which can be called by a program running on the system administrators machine.
